McMaster Worked at Think Tank Funded by Soros Group that Helped Sell Iran Nuclear Deal
Simple vetting of White House National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster should have caught this. He needs to go… yesterday. He served at a UK-based think tank funded by George Soros. That’s bad enough, but it gets worse. This was the think tank that came up with the horrific Iran deal that Obama adopted and pushed. They sold the Iran nuclear deal to the public and the media. Obama tried to sell it to Americans, which didn’t work. It needs to be torn up. McMaster wants it left in place.
McMaster was a member of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) from September 2006 thru February 2017. That’s a long run in a leftist stronghold. He was a senior consulting fellow there. They describe themselves as a “world-leading authority on global security, political risk and military conflict.” Sounds great until you see who pays the bills. IISS supported Obama and the Iran deal all the way and have since hit back against charges that Iran has violated the agreement. That’s laughable… they never honored the flawed agreement to begin with. To even think they did for a moment shows a dangerous level of naivete or willful blindness.
McMaster stands accused of purging the Trump administration of Iran hardliners and those that stand against the Muslim Brotherhood, as well as Israel supporters. He has been pushing for Trump to recertify the Iran deal. Oddly, one of the groups that helped fund the Iranian nuclear deal was the Soros-connected Ploughshares Fund. It’s not on the donor page for IISS. However, it is on an archived page. Looks like they did some purging there too.
Listed in a Ploughshares Fund report is work done by Michael Ellemen, who is an IISS senior fellow for missile defense. This guy is a piece of work. He is trying to cast doubt on Iran and North Korea working together. There is a ton of evidence out there showing that Iranian scientists frequently go to North Korea and have assisted them in their nuclear program and vice versa. Iran and North Korea are working together on ballistic-missile development
Ploughshares’ role in selling the Iran agreement to the public was revealed in an extensive New York Times Magazine profile of Obama’s former deputy national security adviser, Ben Rhodes, entitled, “The Aspiring Novelist Who Became Obama’s Foreign-Policy Guru.” The article contains interviews with Rhodes and scores of top Obama administration officials. A senior director at the National Security Council named Robert Malley tole the Times that “experts” were utilized to create an “echo chamber” that disseminated administration claims about Iran to “hundreds of often-clueless reporters” in the news media. Sounds about right to me. This marketing strategy utilized the “absence of rational discourse” and utilized outside groups, including Ploughshares.
Ploughshares has partnered with and funded a literal who’s-who of the radical left, including Code Pink, the pro-Palestinian J Street, United for Peace & Justice, the U.S. Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation and Demos, a progressive economic advisory group where Obama’s controversial former green jobs czar, Van Jones, has served on the board. They are all connected in a web and McMasters is caught up in it too. Ploughshares is funded by George Soros’ Open Society Institute, the Buffett Foundation, the Carnegie Corporation of New York, the Ford Foundation, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund and the Rockefeller Foundation. All communist supporting outfits. They are also funded by the Soros-connected Tides Foundation.
Ploughshares is the same group that called for massive slashes to our defense budget. That helped to cripple and weaken us militarily, at the same time they were helping Iran arm up. Last week, McMaster quietly removed Ezra Cohen-Watnick, a Trump aide and Iran deal opponent, from the National Security Council in what the Jerusalem Post reported was a possible “sweep of Iran hard-liners.” He also dismissed Rich Higgins, another Iran hawk who was the NSC’s director of strategic planning. Higgins was sacked for circulating a memo in which he alleged that there was a “Maoist” insurgency within and without the government of “globalists and Islamists.” And there is. McMaster also removed Derek Harvey. He held the Middle East portfolio at the NSC and was a hawk as well.
And if you still think McMaster is possibly getting a bad shake here, John Kerry supports him and claims he is the best bet at keeping the nuclear agreement alive. If Kerry supports him, there is something seriously wrong with him. I consider McMaster to be a definite enemy from within. President Trump must remove him and undo the Iranian deal for the sake of America’s national security and best interests.
