This past Independence Day for many was filled with fireworks and fun, but for Toby Keith’s daughter, that fun almost turned into total tragic.
Krystal Keith and her family were involved in a horrific crash over the holiday weekend. Keith is very thankful to have walked away from an accident involving a drunk driver that totalled her car. Keith and her family are lucky and blessed to be alive.
H/T Conservative Tribune:
Legendary musician Toby Keith’s daughter, country singer Krystal Keith, revealed in an Instagram post Friday that she nearly died in a “horrific” car crash this week.
“Our 4th turned pretty horrific,” she wrote. “Hensley, Drew and I were on the way to watch fireworks on the 4th. A drunk driver almost took the lives of my entire family.”
Keith shared images of the wrecked Mercedes-Benz SUV. It was a nightmarish sight.
By Drew and Hensley she meant her husband, Andrew Robert Sandubrae, and her daughter, Hensley Jack Sandubrae.
“We all survived the wreck but it’s gonna take some time to heal,” she added. “Keep us in your prayers. Hug your babies and spouses tight. DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE.”
Keith and her family were very lucky to make it out of the crash alive. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 28 Americans die daily “in motor vehicle crashes that involve an alcohol-impaired driver.”
Thank the Lord, Krystal Keith and her family walked away from that horrific accident. It could have ended so much different. Keith and her family are very blessed.
Born in 1985, Keith has followed the path of her father, who rose to stardom in 1993 with his debut single, “Should’ve Been a Cowboy.”
“I don’t remember a time when I didn’t sing,” she recalls on her website. “My sister likes to tell stories about me singing at the top of my lungs and points out, ‘That was before you could sing good.’ She had to learn how to sing harmony just so she could hear herself over me. But I was always a little ham and sang pretty much everywhere I went.”
Keith’s first appearance on the charts was in a 2004 duet with her father in a cover of “Mockingbird.”
In 2013 she released a four-song extended play that included a single called “Daddy Dance with Me,” which she performed for the first time at her wedding.
Krystal Keith released the video for her song “Daddy Dance With Me,” the surprise gift she recorded for her father Toby Keith and first played for him at her wedding.
The clip intersperses Krystal performing the song with video from an actual wedding reception.
“Of course, I was the bride in the song, but it’s a theme that applies to all weddings,” she says of the tune she co-wrote with Mica Roberts and Sonya Rutledge.
“We shot the video at a beautiful church in Los Angeles and I’m really excited for the song to get out there.”
Here is Krystal’s song:
What a beautiful song and tribute to her dad, Toby Keith.
We are very blessed that Krystal and her family walked away from this horrific accident. It will take some time for Keith’s family to heal from the whole ordeal that could have turned very tragic.
As Krystal says, remember to ‘hug your babies and spouses tight’ and ‘Don’t DRINK and DRIVE.’
