Michael Vick Suggests Colin Kaepernick Cut His Afro, Fight Ensues!
Michael Vick has some advice for Colin Kaepernick if he wants another shot in the NFL…dump the afro.
“Listen, I’m not up here to try to be politically correct,” Vick said Monday on FS1’s “Speak For Yourself.”
“Even if he puts cornrows in there. I don’t think he should represent himself in that way in terms of just the hairstyle. Just go clean-cut. You know, why not? You’re already dealing with a lot of controversy surrounding this issue. The most important thing that he needs to do is just try to be presentable.”
“I just think perception and image is everything. This is not the Colin Kaepernick that we’ve known since he entered the National Football League. I’m just going off my personal experiences, but listen, I love the guy to death. But I want him to also succeed on and off the field. This has to be a start for him.”
Kaepernick didn’t respond by calling Vick out by name. But his latest post on Instagram couldn’t be for anyone else but Vick:
Vick returned fire…with kindness:

The former Falcons and Eagles quarterback said he was just speaking from his own personal experience. Vick was suspended for two seasons beginning in 2007 after pleading guilty to charges in a dog fighting investigation.
Vick, 37, has since rebounded from the scandal and played for several teams before walking away from the league earlier this year like the New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles and the Pittsburg Steelers.
Kaepernick has visited a few teams like the Seattle Seahawks, working towards a return of his own, but no one will touch him. Colin Kaepernick gave the whole NFL grief as he spawned a boycott that caused the league to lose so many viewers that it had to rebate advertisers. Viewership dropped to levels not seen since the 70’s.
As he continues to have zero luck at finding a team ready to take on all the bad publicity he brings, it seems Kaepernick just gets angrier.
The washed up ex-NFL player recently made the most disgusting attack against law enforcement on Twitter that you can imagine!
Kaepernick compared law enforcement officers to the ‘runaway slave patrol’!
We made a screen-shot of his vile tweet, in case he decides to get some common sense and delete the filth.
Kaepernick has remained unemployed for three reasons, and he just solidified two of them.
First, some teams genuinely believe that he can’t play.
Second, some teams fear the backlash from fans after getting him.
Third, the rest genuinely hate him and can’t stand what he did [kneeling for the national anthem]. They want nothing to do with him and they won’t move on. They think showing no interest is a form of punishment. I think some teams also want to use Kaepernick as a cautionary tale to stop other players in the future from doing what he did.
He needs to clean up a lot more than appearance, he needs to clean up his character. He has created a mess, not only for his own career, but for the NFL.
But his actions had a significant impact on his playing ability as well. This is the important part that Kaepernick just does not get:
I taught sales for years. In fact, I advised the government of the small country of Grenada on the subject. The first place you start is the beginning of the day. A sales manager that starts the day with an exciting and upbeat message can double sales. A sales manager who begins the day with negative remarks will ALWAYS destroy the numbers for the day. ALWAYS folks!
When Kaepernick started his games on a negative note, he doomed himself. Every time. When he was supposed to be thinking about how thankful he was for this great country that had afforded him the achievements that he enjoyed, he was instead focused on anger. He was never going to be great again. It was a given.
Colin Kaepernick, you blew it! I think you have seen the end of what could have been a productive career…you hate what this country stands for? Well, you just lost what this country stands for!… Opportunity!
It wasn’t even a real protest. It was a lazy 3-minute antic and a 1 minute tweet! Hope it was worth it Colin!
