There’s no doubt names were unmasked by the Obama administration. The real questions are: Who did the unmasking and why? It’s as simple as that.
Will we ever know what really happened probably not? It’s about power and money and it all leads back to Obama and Clinton. Who are we kidding? Clinton wanted to win….so bad, that she was willing to risk committing crimes….even like surveilling Donald Trump and his staff…and unmasking names….all for the sake of winning.
Some DemocRAT needs to take the fall on this, but who will it be? It’s one big stinking swamp.
H/T Western Journalism:
Just hours before Susan Rice was scheduled to testify about her role in the Obama-era “unmasking” scandal, a shocking change of plans was announced.
According to Fox News, the Trump administration has alleged that Rice broke the law by using intelligence resources to “unmask” and reveal the names of individuals associated with Donald Trump who cropped up in surveillance operations. Such names would normally be redacted in intelligence reports to protect individuals in question.
“Fox News was initially told Rice would be giving closed-door testimony Tuesday before the Republican-led House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence,” the network reported. “But that session has apparently been postponed.”
Many prominent Republicans are eager to ask Rice questions about how she used intelligence resources, and what actions she took during Obama’s final months as president.
“Ohio GOP Rep. Jim Jordan last week told Fox News that he wants Rice to answer the basic question: ‘Did you unmask the names and if so why?‘” Fox reported.
Rice’s statements since the scandal was uncovered have been inconsistent. Back in March, the Obama appointee assured PBS News that she “knew nothing” about the unmasking of people connected to Trump.
However, she then seemed to contradict that statement.
“She later acknowledged having occasionally sought the identities of Trump associates who communicated with foreigners, a process known as ‘unmasking’ in the intelligence community. But she later told MSNBC, ‘I leaked nothing to nobody,’” Fox reported.
Nothing to nobody…is a double negative. I’m sure Rice knew that though, right? So did she just admit she leaked?
It’s incredibly convenient — and suspicious — that Rice, suddenly and without explanation, will not be present to answer difficult questions about her activities as a key player in the Obama administration.
The American people deserve to know the truth about whether or not the nation’s spy networks were used for a political agenda against Donald Trump.
Although Rice will not be speaking to the members of the House panel, she and former Obama White House chief of staff Denis McDonough are scheduled to appear before the Senate Intelligence Committee this week as part of the multi-pronged congressional investigations into Russian interference in the 2016 election.
Rice has refused a request to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee.
As Rep. Jordan stated, most Americans want to know,
“Did you unmask the names and if so why?”
We just want to get the truth on all of these issues.
Rep. Mike Conaway, R-Texas, who is leading the Russia investigation for the House Intelligence Committee, admitted the probe is “frustratingly slow.”
“We’re all in this instant-gratification world that we’ve created for ourselves, and the fact that it takes response times, you get lawyers involved, back and forth organizing — that’s frustrating,” Conaway said.
Conaway did not say when Rice might testify.
It’s time for the Obama administration to tell the truth! Who requested the names of those in the Trump administration to be unmasked and why?
It’s as simple as that!
We know the Obama administration already lied about Fast and Furious, and lied about Benghazi, and certainly covered up in the Clinton email scandal. So what else is new?!
