Just when it was beginning to look like the Seattle Seahawks were going to take pity on Colin Kaepernick and let him sit on their bench, reports are coming out that it’s “just not the right time!”
After making a fool of himself with his antics last year demeaning the National Anthem, Kaepernick has been all but ‘blacklisted’ from being hired by any other NFL team.
Not only does it look slim that he will be a quarterback, he can’t even find a team to let him sit on their bench!
He just had to do his
protest antics on his employer’s time. Gets you in trouble no matter who you work for.
The Seattle Seahawks open organized team activities Tuesday, but they won’t sign Colin Kaepernick before the start of workouts.
NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday that “nothing is imminent” between the Seahawks and Kaepernick.
“I am told if the Seahawks are going to sign Colin Kaepernick it is not going to be right now,” Rapoport said on NFL Network’s Total Access.
The Seahawks met with Kaepernick last week, in what was a due-diligence, meet and greet.
The Seahawks are in the market for a veteran backup quarterback.
Word around town is that the members of NFL front offices despise him. They truly, truly hate him.
“I don’t want him anywhere near my team,” one front office executive said. “He’s a traitor.” He wasn’t alone in the anger directed toward Kaepernick. In interviews with seven team executives, each said he didn’t want Kaepernick on his team. The feeling among many front office executives? Not!!
Seattle had reached out to free agent Kaepernick about a possible backup role a few weeks ago.
The NFL Network’s Mike Silver was the first to report that Seattle General Manager John Schneider recently contacted Kaepernick’s agent.
Seahawks GM John Schneider reached out to Colin Kaepernick's agent last Friday. Interest in him as potential backup is legit. @nflnetwork

And then it began, Twitter exploded! Seahawks fans took to social media to get the message across: “Oh, Hell No!”
EVERY ACTION CAUSES A REACTION = I WILL Not WATCH THE SEAHAWKS , THAT SIMPLE

They went on…and on…and on…
What horrible news…don't need an un-American, police hating, mediocre QB like Kaepernick backing up a class act like Wilson.

Looks like the Seahawks’ fans are not quite the liberal nutjobs as the rest of the city…
Kaepernick has plenty of money, so early retirement might be imminent. He decided to use his employer’s far reaching platform as his own. He could have made his stand, or should I say kneel, on his own time.
Protest is great. It is an American tradition. When done on your own time, not your employer’s time.
His actions had some serious consequences.
Colin Kaepernick and his faux protest cost the 49ers $$Millions of dollars!
The NFL was forced to Refund Advertisers Because of Historic Low Viewership!
In fact, the NFL’s Monday Night Football lost almost half it’s viewership in 2 weeks!
It wasn’t even a real protest. It was a lazy 3-minute antic!
The evidence is overwhelming that Kaepernick has been ‘blackballed’. If Seattle actually ends up picking him up for second fiddle, he will be very lucky to be playing occasionally.
Actions have consequences. Colin Kaepernick has discovered that the hard way.
We will see if Seattle decides later in the summer to let him sit on their bench. I doubt it.
