Image the surprise of a New Mexico police officer when he pulled over a van and had a look inside, only to discover that a woman was in the back, bound up by chains. Being kidnapped.
We now have video from the officer’s camera and the woman in question is identified as Jane Priebe. She was found alive but shaken, with a chain around her neck like a dog, latching her to the floor.
‘Oh my God, thank you,’ she said to the officers, as they discovered her with cuffed hands in front of her body. Apparently Priebe was being stalked by a crazy ex-boyfriend and his male/female companion…More on that soon. They had grabbed her from her apartment back in January.
The suspects in question are Jack William Morgan and partner in crime Samuel Brown…Yes, that is a dude’s name, but this Samuel Brown identifies as a woman and favors to be called Sophie. Both of these psychos have pleaded not guilty to federal kidnapping charges. Their trial is on wait till later this Summer.
Dash and lapel camera video shows the event:
After being unchained and helped out of the van, Priebe told officers she had been dragged from her home almost 12 hours earlier.
‘He dragged me out of the place, and I fought so f***ing hard cause I was like, this is how you die,’ Priebe told officers.
After police take Morgan and Brown into custody, video shows Morgan singing ‘Amazing Grace’ while sitting in the back of the police cruiser.
At one point, he notices the camera in the back of the car filming him and stares directly at, his head tilted.
Brown is placed in the back of another police car and tells officers she’s frightened. According to a criminal complaint, Las Vegas police were called to Priebe’s apartment complex after witnesses reported seeing a woman wearing only undergarments being dragged down three flights of stairs.
She was bound and gagged.
A witness told police Priebe was put into a white van with Texas license plates. Police found items of clothing on the way to the victim’s apartment, and inside there was a stun device and a knife laying on the floor close to the front door. The victim’s purse was still inside the apartment, and there were signs of a struggle.
Morgan’s cellphone location led authorities to New Mexico, where police stopped the van. Officers reported hearing Priebe screaming for help as they had Morgan and Brown get out of the vehicle.
Priebe explained to the police that her kidnappers attempted to hog tie her, but she struggled with them until Morgan decide to choke her out, in which she then lost consciousness.
Morgan got in touch with Priebe a week before the kidnapping to meet up and have coffee. But that was only a ploy to have Brown follow her back to her apartment to learn where she lived.
A search warrant affidavit filed by New Mexico authorities stated Priebe claimed that Morgan was going to try and ‘brainwash her to be his wife.’
What a trip! Total insanity!
