American voters supported Donald Trump for President, because they wanted to see our borders closed and radical Islamic terrorism defeated, specifically ISIS. They were tired of just watching Obama draw red lines in the sand only to be crossed by ISIS. They were tired of the terrorist attacks on American soil. Americans wanted ISIS defeated and it wasn’t going to happen with Obama or Clinton in office.
Since President Trump came into office, we have already seen a reduction in the flow of illegal immigrants across our borders. We have also seen Trump’s actions speak louder than his words when it comes to ‘crossing the red line’. As President, Trump ordered 59 Tomahawks sent into Syria and a MOAB to ISIS in Afghanistan. In addition, Trump asked for a comprehensive plan to defeat ISIS. That plan is already being implemented with the support of Sec. of State Rex Tillerson and Sec. of Defense, Gen. James Mattis. Trump’s plan is to annihilate ISIS, like an exterminator called in to get rid of cockroaches.
H/T Conservative Tribune:
Defense Secretary James “Mad Dog” Mattis outlined the administration’s plan of attack against the Islamic State group on Sunday, and it differed like night and day from the limp-wristed wartime strategies pursued by former President Barack Obama.
“Our strategy right now is to accelerate the campaign against ISIS. It is a threat to all civilized nations,” Mattis candidly told “Face the Nation” host John Dickerson. “And the bottom line is, we are going to move in an accelerated and reinforced manner, throw them on their back foot.”
“We have already shifted from attrition tactics where we shove them from one position to another in Iraq and Syria, to annihilation tactics where we surround them,” he added.
The overall goal, Mattis argued, is to ensure that the Islamic State group’s militants don’t live to fight another day — and are literally stopped dead in their tracks.
“You see that right now, for example, in western Mosul … that is surrounded and the Iraqi security forces are moving against them,” he continued, referring to a “final push” effort against the Islamic State group-controlled Iraqi city that should have it freed from the terrorists’ grips by early June.
“Tal Afar is now surrounded. We have got efforts underway right now to surround their self-declared caliphate capital of Raqqa. That surrounding operation is going on. And once surrounded, then we’ll go in and clean them out.”
And by “clean them out,” he meant kill them like cockroaches.
It’s pretty amazing to think of the stark contrast between Obama’s and Trump’s administration when it comes to defeating ISIS. The Obama administration wanted everyone to believe that ISIS was being defeated, but like everything else – that too was just a ‘false narrative’. Even Obama’s CIA Director Brennan knew that Obama’s fight was not working against ISIS when he said Obama’s efforts have not reduced the group’s terrorism capability or global reach.
But since January 2017, when President Trump came into office and asked for a plan to ‘defeat ISIS’ things have changed significantly. That’s the difference in leadership. Good leaders set the policy, surround themselves by great people, then get out of their way and let them do their jobs. General Mattis is doing his best job to implement President’s Trump’s policies to defeat ISIS. The plan is accelerated and shifted significantly from attrition to ANNIHILATION of ISIS!
It’s about time we end their nonsense of destruction and
