STRONG Anti-Gun Woman Falls Victim To Home Invasion…Now Pro-2A!
Every anti-gun person in America is anti-gun until a good guy with a gun comes to their rescue. I say ‘their’ rescue because many on the anti-gun side just don’t seem to care that guns save innocent lives…unless it’s actually their life that’s being saved.
Shelton’s experience with a home invader was all she needed to jump start her journey into proper self-defense for herself and her household. She is now a regular when it comes to firearm training courses, and feels confident that she will not be a victim again if another home invader decides to take advantage.
She is also in the process of fulfilling the requirements for a concealed carry license, so she could cover all bases of self-defense.
News Channel 3 News had the story:
“I was getting ready for work doing my normal routine, and I heard a noise as I was getting out of the shower.” She looked to see the source of the noise and “saw a man coming through the back of the house.” She said, “The first thing I thought was I gotta do something.” But she was limited on options: her daughter was in bed asleep, her husband was at work, and she did not have a gun.
Shelton checked again to see where the suspect was, saying, “I peeked through the blinds, the blinds stayed closed and peeked through and saw him looking at me. I mean we made complete eye contact. He proceeded to come through the back of the house, and I ran back and dialed 911.”
When police arrived the suspect had fled the scene but they managed to arrest him a short time later.
Of course, some training and a gun will never be the ends of worry for an individual. Until someone experiences just how vulnerable they can be, even in their ‘safe’ little homes, you may never understand the fear and feelings of preservation one would have for themselves, or even for their family.
As for Shelton, not everything has gone back to the way it was. She has said that her “sense of security” has been taken from her, and her family, and that is why she includes her daughter in her firearm training as well.
“I’ve enjoyed it, I’m glad to know that I have a 15-year-old daughter and she knows the safety and the rules, and I feel pretty confident in her if she ever had to use a weapon for her defense.”
We can’t predict when or where someone with ill-intent will attack us or our loved ones, but we sure as hell can prepare for it. Preparation is key, and when it comes to firearms, that is something that the majority of the left do not see as necessary…at least for you and your family.
Like I said, when it comes to their saftey, they are all on board…But when it’s yours in question, that’s a different story.
