At a joint White House news conference, President Trump said, “We will destroy ISIS and we will protect civilization.” Make no doubt about it. The Wall will get built and ISIS will be destroyed! Trump is all business.
In recent weeks, President Trump has sent a clear message to the world that he is not going to tolerate any bullies or any countries that ‘cross the red-line’. Don’t believe me? Look at what he did to Syria after they used chemical weapons – Boom! 59 Tomahawk missiles. Then, to top that off, Trump dropped the largest non-nuclear bomb on ISIS – the “mother of all bombs” or MOAB. Add to that, President Trump sent an ‘armada’ including the U.S.S. Carl Vinson to the Korean Peninsula.
Some of our best military destroyers, helicopters and aircraft carriers are standing by, just in case, Kim Jong-Un wants to continue to blast off his little ballistic missiles or ISIS want to mess with the best.
The message is clear – if you mess with America, you mess with Trump! If you mess with Trump, you mess with our mighty military. Payback’s a bitch and ‘Mad Dog’ is in charge. I would not want to be in ISIS’s shoes or tunnels right about now. You are dealing with the ‘Warrior Monk’ who has devoted his life to studying war. You don’t even have a clue about what’s about to be descended upon you.
H/T Conservative Tribune:
If Defense Secretary James Mattis wants to go “Mad Dog” on the Bronze Age savages of the Islamic State, he can have the full force of the American military behind him.
According to The Associated Press, the Trump administration has given the defense secretary’s Pentagon full discretion to decide troop levels in Iraq and Syria in the mission against the Islamic State group.
The move is the latest by President Donald Trump to shift responsibility and power to his military leaders — and out of the White House bureaucracy.
“The decision will give Defense Secretary Jim Mattis the authority to send more forces into Syria, to assist U.S.-backed local troops as they move to retake Raqqa from the Islamic State group, which has used the city as a de facto capital,” The AP reported. “It will also let him adjust the force numbers in Iraq, in the ongoing fight to oust ISIS from Mosul and stabilize it as the rebuilding begins.”
The move comes on top of what The AP describes as “quiet, incremental additions to the troop levels” in the region over the past few months. However, Pentagon spokesman Dana White said Mattis has yet to use the authority to make any changes to troop levels.
“Restoring FML (Force Management Level) decisions to the secretary of defense enables military commanders to be more agile, adaptive and efficient in supporting our partners, and enables decisions that benefit unit readiness, cohesion and lethality,” White told BuzzFeed News.
The U.S. currently has approximately 5,000 troops in Iraq advising and assisting the Iraqi Security Forces in the fight against ISIS. In Syria the U.S. has hundreds of special operators embedded with local forces, along with approximately 400 U.S. Marines supporting the forces with artillery.
Year to date, three Americans have been killed in action in Afghanistan. At least 21 others have been wounded by the relentless violence there.
Two American troops were killed and a third was wounded while battling Islamic State loyalists overnight in eastern Afghanistan, U.S. officials said Thursday, marking the latest in a series of violent developments as the Trump administration contemplates whether to escalate the 15-year war.
The incident Wednesday night occurred in southern Nangarhar province, in Achin district, a restive region along the Pakistan border that has become a stronghold for the group known as ISIS Khorasan, or ISIS-K. It happened during a raid in which an unspecified number of Americans were partnered with Afghan forces, officials said. It’s the same area where, two weeks ago, the U.S. launched a massive airstrike on an ISIS tunnel complex and where, a week before that, an American special forces soldier was killed by enemy small arms fire.
ISIS Khorasan is an affiliate of the Islamic State’s core network in Syria and Iraq. It receives tactical advice and some financial support from outside Afghanistan, but U.S. officials have so far not observed an influx of fighters from either country. An estimated 400 to 700 fighters are active throughout Nangarhar and Kunar provinces.
This latest move makes it clear yet again that there’s a new sheriff in town — and he’s willing to put the tools for victory in the hands of Mattis, the former Marine Corps general sometimes known as “Mad Dog.”
Sicking ‘Mad Dog’ Mattis on ISIS is like letting loose a pack of coyotes on some helpless lambs after they haven’t eaten in a couple weeks. Good luck, ISIS.
Hey ISIS! We know where you are! We WILL find you and we WILL kill you! It is time for your INSANITY to end!
It is time to end the path of violent destruction, torture and slaughter of thousands of inocent lives and bloodshed caused by ISIS. It is time to end the rape and violent sexual attacks on thousands of young innocent women and children who fall prey to ISIS in their violent path of slaughter. It is time to end ISIS. Make no mistake your deceitful ways of hiding bombs in teddy bears, TV’s and refrigerators is over.
From Allen West: General Mattis was ‘fired by Obama to please the Muslims. Hired by Trump to exterminate them’.
President Trump has said ‘We will destroy ISIS’ and I have no doubt with ‘Mad Dog’ off the leash and given free reign it will happen.
