The Governor of Texas Just Cracked Down On 18 Sanctuary Cities

Illegal immigration in the United States is a serious issue. Comprehensive immigration reform is necessary if we plan on cleaning up our streets. Because of our former progressive White House administration violent criminals have been able to walk the streets. Drug related and violent crime deaths have increased exponentially over the last eight years. But no more.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions has publically stated he will rescind federal grants from sanctuary cities that protect illegal aliens. Governor Greg Abbott of Texas appeared on Newsmax TV’s “The Steve Malzberg Show” to discuss these sanctuary cities. He will be working to enact legislation that would allow for the arrest of sheriffs of sanctuary cities who refuse to comply with federal immigration enforcement officials.

Abbott said the following about the sanctuary city sheriffs,

“We have been pushing a piece of legislation in Texas that is going to pass that I will be signing into law that imposes even sterner penalties on counties. It will include things such as further defunding them. It will impose fines. And it could impose jail time for these sheriffs to enforce the laws. Oddly enough these sheriffs could wind up behind the very bars they are releasing these criminals from.”

With eighteen sanctuary cities in the state of Texas the sheriffs in those towns are going to be in for a rude awakening and really quickly. If they cannot obey the law and follow the letter of the law then they should be in jail for incentivizing illegal immigration.

Since Texas is along the Mexican and American border line illegal immigration is a serious issue for them and they cannot afford to have local leaders disrespecting the law. The Trump administration has promised to defund them and they certainly will.
