COMMON CORE Just Met It’s Match With President Trump – AMERICA CHEERS!!

President Donald Trump has never been a fan of Common Core on a whole. He made a big announcement on Tuesday that his administration still plans to end the government maintained program, as he did on his campaign trail. Trump believes, as do many, that Common Core as a program is a failure and needs to go.

“Common Core, I mean, we have to bring education more local,” Trump said during a CEO Business Town Hall on Tuesday at the White House. “We can’t be managing education from Washington.”

“When I go out to Iowa, when I go out to the different states and I talk, they want to run their school programs locally and they’ll do a much better job… And I like the fact of getting rid of Common Core,” he said.

“You know, Common Core, to me, we have to end it. We have to bring education local, to me. I’ve always said it, I’ve been saying it during the campaign, and we’re doing it,” he said.

Emmett McGroarty who is the American Principles Project leader released a statement giving much praise to Trump’s comments on ending Common Core and supports the president’s decision to dismantle it.

“More than any other President — or even presidential candidate — ever, Donald Trump has empathized with our citizens, particularly parents, who have seen firsthand the damage done by federal efforts to shape and dictate education policy,” McGroarty’s statement read.

“Today’s comments show that President Trump has not forgotten his promise to end Common Core and return to local control of education,” McGroarty added. “He is taking seriously the assurance he made in his Inaugural Address,

‘Today… we are transferring power from Washington, D.C. and giving it back to you, the American people.’”

The education for all students is vital to Trump’s promise to “Make America Great Again.”  President Trump is set on striking Common Core from schools across America, putting in place a system that will work for each state, school and child in the education system. Giving more power to each state on what is being taught is a better way of making sure each student gets the education they deserve and need.

McGroarty describes how important it will be for the President to show strong leadership on this issue in the future.

“Every Swamp creature will unite to fight against the President on this, so his leadership will be critical,” he said. “We look forward to seeing what steps the Trump Administration will take in the coming months to take power away from Washington, D.C. and return it to parents.”

While it’s critical to rid the education system of Common Core altogether, it would be a huge shock to completely pull all federal government out of all schools. Some replacement is most likely going to be produced to ease the transition of a new and improved system.

Trump will find a way to ‘Drain the Swamp’ and drastically improve education in this country. One more campaign promise and front, that our President is willing to fight for and win.
