As tensions continue to boil over the Susan Rice scandal, Benghazi war hero Kris “Tanto” Paronto puts his own two cents into the mix. He thinks President Trump should “make an example” of Rice for her major role in surveilling the Trump team. Paronto appeared on news outlet ‘Fox and Friends’ on Wednesday to talk about his feelings on the investigation into the scandal. The former Army Ranger was asked by the host of the show what his thoughts were on Rice’s denial of using intelligence for political purposes during the election.
“She has no credibility. I don’t know how people continue to believe her,” Paronto said about Rice.
Paronto noted that Rice has been caught in a lie about the scandal already. Last Month on PBS she stated that she was unaware of the unmasking of any names of Trump associates.
This was her statement. “I know nothing about this. I was surprised to see reports from Chairman [Devin] Nunes on that account today,” she said on PBS.
Rice’s story later changed. When asked about the unmasking again, her reply changed. She said,
“The notion, which some people are trying to suggest, that by asking for the identity of the American person is the same as leaking it — that’s completely false,” Rice added. “There is no equivalence between so-called unmasking and leaking.”
Paronto highlighted that this is Rice’s most recent lie to the American public. But, this isn’t her only lie. Paronto pointed back to the infamous prisoner swap in May 2014 of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl for five top Taliban leaders and on Rice’s comments after the Benghazi attack on September 11th, 2012.
In 2014, while Rice served as National Security Adviser to the Obama administration she justified the prisoner swap of one American prisoner for 5 known terrorists. She tried to convince the American public that the trade was fair, because Bergdahl served the country with “honor and distinction.” Reports at the time said differently. Bergdahl had deserted his post and meant to cross over the Taliban line, therefore purposely getting caught by the enemy.
The lie that angers Paronto the most is of Rice’s false reports about the attacks in Benghazi.
While serving as U.N. Ambassador, Rice blamed the Benghazi attacks on the American consulate and CIA Annex on an anti-Islam ‘YouTube’ video that caused a spontaneous uprising. The lie she told was broadcast on multiple television appearances by Rice, and was later taken back once the real details of the raids were made available to the public.
“When I saw her on T.V. on September 13, 2012, talking about Benghazi I rolled my eyes at how she was trying to cover it up. I was there in the fight. I know that no help came. I know that nobody showed up. Still, Rice decided to try and cover it up, and make up a reason for why we were there.” Paronto commented to an Independent Journal.
Paronto thinks that Rice must feel like she is “untouchable,” because the lies she spins are ridiculous and she has gotten away with lies in the past.
“I want to see Rice go to a Subcommittee hearing and have Rep. Nunes dress her down, and then see her walk out in handcuffs. Let the whole world see her walk out of that room in handcuffs. That would send a clear message to anyone in the future who chooses to abuse their power as Rice has,” Paronto said.
I think most Americans will agree with Paronto when he says, Rice is a ‘pathological liar’.
