Trump Signs Order To Reduce The Size Of the Federal Bureaucracy

Talk about another major step in the right direction for Conservatives. Donald Trump is once again following up on another one of his major campaign promises. As a candidate, Trump made a lot of promises to Americans. Among those promises, Trump said he would repeal and replace Obamacare, put a Conservative judge on the bench (SCOTUS), put in place extreme vetting procedures for illegals, bring back jobs, rebuild our military, end funds to “sanctuary” cities, build a wall on the US-Mexico border, reduce debt, renegotiate our foreign trade, and reduce the size of government.  Well, it looks like President Trump has a nice jump-start on many of those promises in just his first 60 days in office.

Of course, Trump was often heard saying along the campaing trail, “politicians are all talk and no action.”  Trump is no politician, but he certainly is a good businessman. It looks like we are seeing that Trump is not just talk, when it comes to keeping promises with the American people. He has already accomplished more in office in his first 2 months than Obama did in 8 years. Reducing the size of government and cutting government waste is BIG LEAGUE! Talk about getting down to business!

H/T Western Journalism:

President Donald Trump on Monday began a far-reaching reorganization of the federal government.

Trump signed the Comprehensive Plan For Reorganizing The Executive Branch, which he called a “major step towards making the federal government efficient, effective and accountable.”

Trump said the order empowers his Cabinets to revamp their departments.

“We have assembled one of the greatest Cabinets in history and I believe that so strongly,” Trump said. “And we want to empower them to make their agencies as lean and effective as possible and they know how to do it. Today there is duplication and redundancy everywhere. Billions and billions of dollars are being wasted.”

“This order requires a thorough examination of every executive department and agency to see where money is being wasted, how services can be improved and whether programs are truly serving American citizens,” Trump said.

The Office of Management and Budget will oversee the evaluation, which, according to the order, will “reorganize governmental functions and eliminate unnecessary agencies … components of agencies, and agency programs.”

“Based on this input, we will develop a detailed plan to make the federal government work better, reorganizing, consolidating and eliminating where necessary. In other words, making the federal government more efficient and very, very cost productive. So we’re going to do something, I think, very, very special,” he said.

Just recently, President Trump had stated that he would not be filling some vacant government jobs.

“When I see a story about ‘Donald Trump didn’t fill hundreds and hundreds of jobs,’ it’s because, in many cases, we don’t want to fill those jobs,” Trump said in a Feb. 28 interview with Fox & Friends.

“A lot of those jobs, I don’t want to appoint, because they’re unnecessary to have,” Trump said. “You know, we have so many people in government, even me. I look at some of the jobs and it’s people over people over people. I say, ‘What do all these people do?’ You don’t need all those jobs.”

President Trump is RIGHT about that!  Duplication and redundancy are spread throughout the government like the plague following Obama’s presidency.  In order for Trump to reduce the size of our whopping deficit, another parting gift by Obama, he first has to start spring cleaning “in house”.  By reducing the size of government, streamlining jobs and cutting waste from within, President Trump is doing what most average Americans have to do every day,…work efficiently and effectively to manage their budget. There’s nothing wrong with reorganizing, consolidating and eliminating waste.  It seems to me, Trump is on the right track to #MakeAmericaGreatAgain.
