Glenn Beck Just Defended Tomi Lahren After Her Pro-Choice Admission! Listen Here!

Tomi Lahren is well known as the conservative millennial pundit of ‘The Blaze’. She’s known for her sharp tongue and her willingness to attack an argument at it’s head. But she recently made headlines after admitting on ‘The View’ that she is pro-choice. Something that surprised many of her ordinarily conservative viewers. Now she is suspended for her comments.

While appearing on ‘The View’, Lahren discussed the new President’s administration, his temporary travel ban, and abortion. She shocked viewers and panel members when she admitted she is in favor of a woman’s right to choose to have an abortion or not. Her boss, Glenn Beck, appeared on his morning show “The Glenn Beck Radio Program” to defend Lahren saying,

I don’t hire people that are sycophants or who have my opinion. I try to hire people who have a different opinion because I believe in being intellectually rigorous. I don’t want straw men. I want people to make a real argument on the other side so we can learn from each other and we can grow.”

He did however maintain he disagrees with Lauren’s statements saying,

So I would disagree (with the idea) that you’re a hypocrite if you want limited government, and yet you want the government to protect life of the unborn,” Glenn concluded.

He called upon colonial era documents to support the notion that the Founding Fathers would have been ardently opposed to abortion. It is unknown why she was suspended from her job, as the company has not made any official comment on the matter. However, her contract is up by the end of the year so her recent appearance and comments might affect that in the long run.

Her comments go to show the difference in conservatism there is, between younger millenials and older baby boomers. While many identify as conservatives, their idea of conservatism is different. No one person is the same, nor do their political opinions and beliefs work the same way.
