CNN Tried Forcing Martin Luther King III to Disavow Trump. He Refuses…

DENIED! Ouch CNN just can’t catch a break, can they? Today, Martin Luther King III met with Donald Trump, and CNN was right there trying to snag King’s attention after meeting with the President-elect.

First, they were embarrassed in front of the nation for being called out as fake news, and then, the iconic legend, Martin Luther King Jr’s son basically pimp slapped them with a dose of reality. They just couldn’t trip him up not matter how hard they tried during their interview with him.

Honestly, how dare they try to twist his words, they have no respect for anyone, least of all someone closely related to the founder of the equal rights movement.

Yet, they treat Trump as if it is unacceptable that he meet with a with a man of a darker shade.

The press seemed much more concerned with Trump’s feud with Rep. John Lewis. Or, maybe they were just trying to make Trump look bad in general. After all, this is CNN we’re talking about here. Much to CNN’s frustration (and our amusement), MLK3 tried to stay on topic instead…

REPORTER: Were you offended by the President-elect’s tweet that Lewis is all talk and no action?

MLK: In the heat of emotion, a lot of things get said on both sides. I think that at some point I am, as John Lewis and many others are, a bridge builder. The goal is to bring America together. We are a great nation and we must become a greater nation.

He then told reporters that the President-elect said repeatedly that he’s going to be a President for all Americans. CNN, on the other hand, has to CNN. Remember the guy Donald Trump called “fake news” last week? He’s baaaaack…

REPORTER: Isn’t there something that just cuts to your core when you hear the president-elect refer to John Lewis as ‘all talk and no action? I mean nothing could be further from the truth, isn’t that right? John Lewis is not ‘all talk and no action.’

Wow, that’s a crazy bias. But King remained true to his character, he didn’t take the bait. After repeating the respect he has for Rep. Lewis being a man of action, he shocked the press with this…

MLK: “As I said, things get said on both sides in the heat of emotion. At some point, this nation, we’ve got to move forward.”

Basically, this is the sugar coated version of ‘There are way more important issues at hand here.’ Which, MLK3 did end up speaking about. He voiced his anger with the amount of American poverty, saying our focus should be on those issues. You know…instead of incorrect character attacks and accusations of racism.

However, CNN refused to let up, they flat out ignored his statement on poverty. Naturally, it’s a very sensitive topic for leftists.  If I understood What MLK III said, it’s that people say things out of anger, and we shouldn’t let that stop us from working together. Hmm, does this sound familiar? Maybe a little bit like ‘tolerance?’ But then again, liberals don’t seem to like real tolerance all that much…
