We Just Learned the REAL Reason Black Congressman Attacked Trump – SPREAD THIS EVERYWHERE

Democratic Rep. John Lewis of Georgia has received quite a bit of media attention for telling NBC News’ Chuck Todd of Donald Trump, “I don’t see this President-elect as a legitimate president.”

Of course, Trump responded to the absurd comment via Twitter, saying, “Congressman John Lewis should spend more time on fixing and helping his district, which is in horrible shape and falling apart (not to mention crime infested) rather than falsely complaining about the election results. All talk, talk, talk – no action or results. Sad!”

Social media erupted in debate, first over Lewis’ astonishing rebuke of Trump, then over Trump’s response, with the Congressman’s defenders claiming it was inappropriate to go after a civil rights icon, especially so near the Martin Luther King holiday.

While Trump is 100% right about Lewis, the Congressman’s initial attack seemed to come out of left field. We now know why he made his ridiculous statement, though. According to AFF, it seems to have all been a fundraising stunt.

“Today, Donald Trump attacked me on Twitter,” reads a DNC fundraising email signed by Lewis. “I’ve been beaten bloody, tear-gassed, fighting for what’s right for America. I’ve marched at Selma with Dr. King.” After his little trip down Memory Lane, the Congressman immediately requested monetary contributions.

Completely shameless.

It should come as no surprise that the Democrats are using this ordeal as an opportunity to scam money out of their mindless followers. After all, Jill Stein made a ton of cash through her recount efforts, despite the fact that they were fruitless and she never could have won the election in the first place.

Lewis’ civil rights credentials are not overstated; he was one of the original Freedom Riders and co-founded the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, one of the groups at the forefront of the civil rights movement. Still, it leaves a pretty icky taste in your mouth when he touts these as a ploy for fundraising dollars.

SHARE this report if you think it’s high time ALL politicians, no matter their party affiliations, accepted Donald Trump as the next POTUS and began working together to #MAGA!
