Hero That Shot Thug To Save Cop’s Life Gets Shocking Surprise 3 Days Later

Deputy First Class Dean Bardes made what he assumed would be a regular traffic stop this last week, but he couldn’t have been more wrong! This latest little incident proved to be almost fatal for the officer. Fortunately, a good Samaritan with a gun passed by at just the right moment assessed the situation and saved a man’s life.

This hero citizen, with a concealed and carry permit, acted fast in order to save the cop, and now, three days later, he got an extremely shocking surprise he’d never expected.

In case you somehow missed this story in the news, the armed passerby saw the officer down on the ground wrestling with the suspect, Edward Strother, on top of him, bashing Bardes’ head into the pavement. This absurd violence was the result Strother not wanting to pay for a speeding ticket, instead, apparently, this criminal would have preferred to get in trouble for murder.

Strother decided that attempting to take this 12-year police veteran’s life was better than facing the consequences of a ticket. When given a chance to stop before being shot, he chose to keep pummeling the cop.

According to Blue Lives Matter, the armed citizen, who wishes to remain anonymous, pointed the gun at Strothers and told him to get off Deputy Bardes several times. Since he refused to follow orders, the gun-owner was within his right to shoot since the officer’s life was in imminent danger. He struck Struthers three times, killing him on the scene.
By law, the concealed carry owner lost his weapon to the investigation, and since it will be stored as evidence, it’s unlikely that he’ll ever get it back, at least not anytime soon. He was now defenseless after saving an officer’s life unless he pays to replace the pricey weapon out of his own pocket. However, one gun store had a better idea in mind.

In order to show appreciation for his bravery, and endless respect for the police, who risk their lives on a daily basis, gun store owner, Mark Williams in Fort Meyers gave this hero a “special offer.”

Williams phoned the Bardes’ police department three days after the incident and made arrangements for the civilian hero to choose any concealed and carry gun he wanted at his store.
The brave civilian ended up choosing one of the best, a Springfield XDS, and he is now armed and safe again, thanks to the generosity of Shoot Straight. Stories like these are inspiring, we can see that humanity still has a little bit of kindness left in us.

How wonderful that Americans still honor police and heroes who have their backs after so much disrespect has been shown toward law enforcement officers. Things are about to change now that we have a new player up to bat for our country, Trump isn’t going to make excuses like Obama did for protesters and criminal behavior. Finally, these people will start to get the punishment they deserve!
