You Won’t Get Through This Without Tears. I Dare you to even try…

I should have written this before I watched the video.  It’s almost impossible to type, cry and wipe my nose at the same time.

This story is about honor and respect, two things that seem to be in really short supply these days, and it’s a privilege to get to write about them today.

A high school choir, members of the Iowa Ambassadors of Music, had just completed a European tour and were headed home.  The choir director happened to be seated across from a flight attendant who told him that there was a soldier in full-dress uniform on board and he was escorting the remains of a World War II veteran home.  She explained that an Honor Guard would meet the plane in Atlanta when they landed and wondered if the choir could sing an appropriate song.

This is the result.

Thank you one and all.
