Obama Blocks Release Of Hillary Documents Until AFTER Election?
Hillary has MORE email problems, and Barack Obama has her back.
Last year, in July of 2015 to be exact, the International Business Times submitted a FOIA request to the State Department for correspondence that made reference to the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal. The State Department told IBT the request would be ready in the spring…roughly nine months after the request.
The typical FOIA request to the State Department takes about three months to process so they were already demanding an extraordinary amount of time to process it.
Last week they revised their estimate. They revised it to November 31, 2016. Three weeks after the presidential election.
Coincidentally, the revised date came the same week the Obama administration filed a motion to kill a lawsuit aimed at forcing the federal government to more quickly comply with FOIA requests for Clinton-era State Department documents.
Sure you do. Barack doesn’t.
Hillary has been bouncing around on the TPP. She promoted it when she was Secretary of State and on the campaign trail she said, “I did not work on TPP.” She said that because she knew she could get away with it. She’s Hillary Clinton. Leaked cables show that The State Department was involved in diplomatic discussions about the pact she’s denying she ever worked on.
Today, with Bernie Sanders making points by opposing TPP, Hillary is against the deal and disputes she ever backed the deal in the first place.
FOIA requests like this one are the precise reason Hillary set up that home-brew email server in her bathroom and why she NEVER had a “state.gov” email address.
