Mother Finds Odd Pills In Daughter’s Drawer, Mortified When She Discovers What They Are…
Is it a mother’s right to invade your privacy? I will guess that just about every mom has done it to their teen at some point or another. In this situation, the mother thinks she’s found something horrific, but when she confronts her “wayward” daughter she get’s slammed with a harsh dose of reality…it isn’t pretty.
She got a text from Ashley asking her mom to get the calculator in her dresser drawer, that’s when she saw it!
While looking for the device in her daughter’s room Ashley’s mom came across a plastic bag containing multicoloured capsules – resembling suspicious-looking pills.
It wasn’t long before the concerned parent texted her daughter demanding an explanation for the items.
In an iMessage to Ashley she writes: ‘What are these?
‘Ashley Carol I will not have drugs in my house. Come home right now. As soon as your dad comes home from California we will discuss your consequences.
‘As for now your grounded and you will not be leaving the house, come home this instant [sic].’
A highly amused Ashley then replies to her mother to explain that she is mistaken. She says: ‘Ahahahaha Mom they arnt drugs lol. Go put them in water [sic].’
After following her daughter’s instructions the confused mother simply replies with a photograph of four colourful foam dinosaurs floating in a glass.
It turns out that the suspected drugs are in fact Magic Grow Capsules which when placed in water change shape and grow to six times their original size.
After Ashley has had a good laugh at her mother’s mistake, the red-faced parent can’t help but throw a little dig in her daughter’s direction replying: ‘Why in the Earth would you buy these? I thought you were 16 not 7?’
To which Ashley replies: ‘Idk (I don’t know) they looked cool’.
After sharing the exchange on her Twitter account last week the tweet has received almost 40,000 likes and more than 27,000 retweets.
Come on mom! Girls just want to have fun! Don’t be such a party pooper! This ought to be the ultimate lesson about not judging others. This Mom has to live with the shame of her mistrust all over twitter now!
