Governor McCrory has again clarified North Carolina’s legislation that was done in response to the left’s “bathroom bill” tactic, allowing men to use women’s restrooms.
You might remember that North Carolina recently had to pass legislation, pre-empting the bathroom bill phenomenon, that is allowing men to go into women’s restrooms and locker rooms under the guise of protecting the 0.03% transvestite population.
Much argument has been made that the N.C. bill infringes on the rights of free enterprise and creates a need for bathroom police.
Governor McCrory explained on Megyn Kelly:
“I do not want government to be able to tell private businesses what their bathroom policy should be. I have no desire to be the bathroom police for private business, so one of the great misinterpretations from the New York Times and the Huffington Post and others is that we passed a bathroom bill on private businesses.”
The left wants to deflect so it does not have to face the real issue! There WOULD NOT BE A North Carolina bathroom bill in the first place if the LEFT would quit trying to pass laws that give men carte blanche in women’s bathrooms and locker rooms under the guise of securing the rights of the .03% of the population who dress like men!
Men who seriously dress like women have been using women’s restrooms without incident, until the left hijacked the issue in the first place!
As Kelly asked the governor “why” the necessity of the bathroom bill, McCrory explained:
“It was an expectation of privacy that individuals have, especially our youth have when they go into a locker room, a shower, or a restroom, they expect only people of their gender to be there in that shower or locker room or restroom. It’s tradition we’ve had for many years.”
This law was in absolutely no way, written to be “anti-transgender.”
It was written because of Charlotte city liberals, and leftist groups all over the country, creating the new “Bathroom Bill” phenomenon for allowing men to use women’s restrooms. PERIOD!
Beyond that…the “Bathroom Bill: insanity is ALREADY making way for perverts to use the laws to go into women’s bathrooms for nefarious purposes. Google it…stories everywhere of the abuse.
I agree with Governor McCrory! Let free enterprise make their own rules, and suffer the consequences…
…Like Target did last week when their stocks dropped within the billions, and millions decided to shop elsewhere!
