A U.S. Army veteran erected a sign that declared his home a “Muslim Free Zone”!
It did not take long for a liberal to call the police on the veteran and demand they do something about the offensive sign, but 9 words would leave them completely dumbfounded.
“It’s considered free speech protected by the First Amendment”
The Times Argus reports:
Veteran Troy Maxham said last month that he put the anti-Muslim sign on his home because he doesn’t trust Muslims. Maxham, a self-described supporter of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, used the racial slur “towelheads” when talking of Muslims stating they shouldn’t be allowed to take over the country.
He also believes President Barack Obama is a Muslim. Obama has said publicly that he’s Christian.
Local officials have said there’s nothing they can do about the sign because it’s considered free speech protected by the First Amendment.
Regina Logan wrote a letter to the newspaper’s editor explaining that she was offended by the sign the veteran put on his house, and believes it should not be allowed within public view.
“While the sign is on private property, it is in public view, and its message is in direct conflict with the values we as Americans are supposed to hold dear,” she wrote.
So much for “American values”, the foundation of which is the “Freedom of Speech”!
Important to note that “Freedom of Speech” doesn’t exist under Islamic law.
After Veteran Troy Maxham won that battle, he placed another sign:
The 1st Amendment was put in place specifically to protect offensive speech! Offensive speech about our government, offensive speech about a veteran, and offensive speech from a veteran!
Liberals have used offensive speech historically against our men and women who have served. While I don’t like it when one disrespects our bravest, I would fight to the death to support their 1st Amendment, God given right to be offensive!
The 1st Amendment gives you the Freedom to be YOU! Excellent Jessica Frech!
The 1st Amendment Center asked her to do an educational video and song for their “Free to Tweet” campaign.
