Are You Going to Support This Man and Watch Basketball?

The National Basketball Association has decided that politics are more important than biology. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver is threatening to move the 2017 NBA All-Star game out of North Carolina because those backward rednecks had the audacity to pass a law requiring people use public restrooms that correspond to their biological sex.

This was obviously discriminatory toward perverts and the NBA will have none of it.

Various NBA personalities like Charles Barkley and Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy have come out in support of moving the All-Star game out of Charlotte. The NBA’s insisting that the Tar Heel state rewrite their law to accommodate the opinions of the NBA, Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam, and a collection of biologically challenged nut cases.

Speaking of biologically challenged nut cases, Pres. Obama weighed in from London on the issue. He joined his wife in speaking out against the “religious freedom law” recently passed in Mississippi and said North Carolina’s bathroom law was “wrong and should be overturned.” The president went on to note that the laws were crafted by “good people” and “although I respect their different viewpoints, I think it’s very important for us not to send signals that anybody is treated differently.”

Barack Obama doesn’t respect anybody with a different viewpoints other than his. This is nothing more than part of his campaign to “fundamentally change America.”

I don’t spend a whole lot of time watching sports, but if the NBA and other sports franchises continue to meddle in politics I’m done with them completely.

How about you? Will you continue to support your NBA team given their position on this issue? And please understand that this is just the camel’s nose under the tent. Will the NFL soon be insisting that states sign on to the Obama Medicaid expansion in order to host a Super Bowl? After all, as John Kasich said, if you don’t support the expansion of Medicaid you can’t be a Christian. And if you can’t be a Christian because of this issue you certainly shouldn’t have the right to host a Super Bowl in your state.

Personally, I think if the NBA wants to make biology an issue we should let them. I think a Republican president should require the NBA to have women on their teams. Women make up 50% of the American population so half of every team should be women. They can just disband the WNBA, nobody watches it anyway, and move those players into the NBA. Not only should 50% of the players be women, but they should also be required by law to get 50% of the playing time.

I remember when basketball was a game. I guess those days are long gone.
