Debbie Wasserman-Schultz called for repealing the First Amendment during an interview with Chuck Todd on ‘Meet The Press’ last Sunday.
Wasserman-Schultz received no challenge as she pushed for an amendment to remove our Constitutional protection of free speech!
Calling it an “obscene” system, Wasserman-Schultz was echoing George Clooney’s earlier call for rewriting the First Amendment.
“We agree as a party that there is an obscene amount money in politics, and that’s why our members – I’m a co-sponsor along with many of my colleagues – of a constitutional amendment that would overturn Citizens United,” said Wasserman-Schultz.
Debbie Wasserman-Schultz agrees with:
It is not just Wasserman-Schultz and George Clooney. Senator Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton, President Barack Hussein Obama, and other leftists/Democrats want the government to define the parameters of legitimate political speech.
They also want to control legitimate media entities who can exercise such speech.
Citizens United and limiting both free speech and the media has been a big pet peeve for Wasserman-Schultz.
The DailyWire reports:
Asked by left-wing journalist Kathleen Parker of The Washington Post about governmental-funding of political campaigns, Wasserman-Schultz expressed support in order to protect Americans from what she implied was dangerous political messaging. Parker inquired about Democratic support for governmental controls of political speech – essentially prohibiting political speech deemed illegitimate by the government outside of defined timeframes for campaigns – as per socialist electoral regulations used in Europe.
“Democrats have supported public financing of campaigns. I know I do. We do need to have an effort that both sides come together and make that reform,” said Wasserman-Schultz, calling for governmental controls over political speech and expression.
It is very important to note that these same leftists have absolutely no problem with liberal Union money being involved in politics.
Totally self-funded, Marty Feigenbaum, a longtime criminal defense attorney in Surfside, is challenging Wasserman-Schultz in Florida’s Congressional District 23.
Wouldn’t it be nice to say ‘Buh Bye Deb’?
