Bathroom Bill ordinances across the nation have caused increasing controversy and mayhem and now another example of the abuse has gained national attention.
A man undressed in a women’s locker room in Seattle and cited a new state Bathroom Bill that “allows people to choose a bathroom based on gender identity”.
The LGBT community has consistently argued that abuse of a Bathroom Bill would never happen.
Seattle’s King5 reports:
It was a busy time at Evans Pool around 5:30pm Monday February 8. The pool was open for lap swim. According to Seattle Parks and Recreation, a man wearing board shorts entered the women’s locker room and took off his shirt. Women alerted staff, who told the man to leave, but he said “the law has changed and I have a right to be here.”
“Really bizarre,” MaryAnne Sato said. “I can’t imagine why they would want to do that anyway!”
Sato uses the locker room a few times a week, but she says this is a first for her. It’s also a first for Seattle Parks and Recreation. Employees report that the man made no verbal or physical attempt to identify as a woman, yet he still cited a new [Bathroom Bill] that allows bathroom choice based on gender identification.
The situation is definitely not the first! As many a Bathroom Bill has stirred up controversy in California, Illinois, Houston, Dallas, and North Carolina recently, the abuse has grown.

In fact, liberal Houston actually SOUNDLY DEFEATED the Bathroom Bill after the Texas Supreme Court forced Houston Mayor Anise Parker to remove the ordinance she forced on the city and put it on the ballot.
“My wife and I have four daughters,” he said in the spot. “Proposition 1 would allow troubled men who claim to be women to enter women’s bathrooms, showers, and locker rooms. It’s better to prevent this danger by closing women’s restrooms to men, rather than waiting for a crime to happen.”
