Sports Illustrated Model Hannah Ferguson on Her Guns [VIDEO]

Hannah Ferguson’s dad was a Marine sniper.

That must have been a trip for her dates in high school.

He also taught his lovely daughter to shoot.

Hannah Ferguson is quite the shot. The model, who has appeared in Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition for the last three years, was taught by her parents. Her father was a sniper in the Marines while her mother was a Marine drill instructor.

“Growing up, at a pretty early age we learned to shoot,” she told FOX411. “They started us with pellet guns.”

Having both her parents and a brother who joined the Marines means the military holds a special place in her heart.

“I have a different outlook than most people,” the 23-year-old said. “I actually want to get involved with charities related to the military because I just have a special thing in my heart for all the soldiers and their families.”

Ferguson also feels like guns are sometimes misunderstood.

“I feel like it’s good to have gun knowledge. I feel like a lot of people are scared of guns,” she explained. “They think they’re bad and they really don’t know anything about it.”

I wonder if dad keeps an eye on her when she’s working?

I’m pretty sure everybody else does.
