“Animosity breeds animosity”, says Obama. Animosity is defined by the American Heritage Dictionary as “bitter hostility or hatred”.
President Barack Obama said Tuesday he was dismayed by “vulgar and divisive rhetoric” in the Presidential campaigns.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said he spoke to Trump on Tuesday and asked him to condemn violence no matter who is responsible.
We’ll just see about that:
A little reflection on the subject is in order. While campaigning for President, Barack Obama told his supporters, “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun.”
He went on the tell them to “argue with neighbors, get in their face”. I think he meant faces, since we all have more than one neighbor. I guess he didn’t learn proper English during his highfalutin education at Harvard. He was probably too focused on community organizing.
While speaking after the Gabby Giffords’ shooting, Obama said, “At a time when our discourse has become so sharply polarized, at a time when we are far too eager to lay the blame for all that ails the world at the feet of those who think differently than we do,” he said, “it’s important for us to pause for a moment and make sure that we are talking with each other in a way that heals, not a way that wounds.”
Perhaps our President could have a talk with Black Lives Matter about how wrong it was to breed animosity by cursing police officers with their chants of “Pigs in a blanket – fry em’ like bacon”.
Some activists are breeding animosity by calling for the killing of white people and advocating for lynchings. Louis Farrakhan said, “Retaliation is a prescription from God to calm the breasts of those whose children have been slain. So if the federal government will not intercede in our affairs, then we must rise up and kill those who kill us. Stalk them and kill them and let them feel the pain of death that we are feeling”.
Is this not considered hate speech – animosity which breeds animosity? We must have missed the Obama speech condemning these words.
Animosity breeds animosity, says Obama. Worst of all, perhaps, was when he spoke about those Iranians marching in their streets shouting, “Death to America”.
His speech about them actually included these words: “Iranians shouting “Death to America” are making common cause with the Republican Caucus”. I can only assume that since he did not denigrate their body parts, he thought these words were judicious and helpful. He must be sure that they did not create any animosity. For those who cannot believe he said these words, CLICK HERE:
Let’s move on now to Hillary Clinton, shall we? Just last October, when asked “Which enemy that you made during your political career are you most proud of”, she replied, “Well, in addition to the NRA, the health insurance companies, the drug companies, the Iranians, probably the Republicans”.
Isn’t it nice to know that our possible next President of the United States does not intend to be the President of us all, having already declared that those who do not agree with her are her sworn enemies?
Perhaps the animosity of Barack Obama and his minions indeed has engendered animosity after all. Here is a tweet from #People4Bernie following the disruptions against the Donald Trump supporters in Chicago:
“Remember the #TrumpRally wasn’t just luck. It took organizers from dozens of organizations and thousands of people to pull off. Great work.” Our President does not seem to grasp the fact that hundreds of thousands of Trump supporters attended his rallies. The only one where guns were shot in the air, the police were injured, or an event had to be cancelled was when radical groups from the Left showed up to disrupt those whose right to free speech was being abridged.
MoveOn.org, Black Lives Matter, and George Soros are working together and promise there is more of this to come. Soros is raising money to further their efforts. We’ll see how non-violent they will be.
We have been warned that this spring they are to conduct the “Largest Civil Disobedience Action of the century”. I am not so sure they will remain peaceful, as they expect to continue until thousands of them have been arrested. It is called “Democracy Spring” and will be conducted on the east coast as well as in Washington, D.C.
The Democratic Socialists of America, who drove protesters into Chicago for the Trump event, have pledged their support. One must wonder if the Chicago protesters were paid, and if those who participate in “Democracy Spring” will also be paid. Yes, animosity does indeed breed animosity.
