Covert U.S. Effort to Kidnap Snowden Exposed

Once again, the hypocrisy of the Obama administration is brought to light. This time in relation to Edward Snowden.

16-0204 Snow

You’ll recall that Edward Snowden stole millions of highly classified documents from the National Security Agency and has been dribbling them out since he disappeared. Until recently it appeared the US had made no effort to capture Snowden. It looks like we actually did.

THE UK GOVERNMENT is facing demands to reveal the details of a secret flight through Scottish airspace which was at the centre of a plot to capture whistleblower Edward Snowden.

The plane, which passed above the Outer Hebrides, the Highlands and Aberdeenshire, was dispatched from the American east coast on June 24 2013, the day after Snowden left Hong Kong for Moscow. The craft was used in controversial US ‘rendition’ missions.

You’ll recall, from the 2008 elections, that Barack Obama was in high whine over the practice of extraordinary rendition. He also said that he was going to lower the cost of your health insurance by $2,500 a year.

The use of “extreme rendition” is one of the most controversial legacies of President George W. Bush. It was so contentious that during the 2008 presidential campaign, Barack Obama promised to “eliminate the practice of extreme rendition…

So it looks like Mr. Obama lied about rendition too. I, for one, am shocked.

Well, no I’m not.

The one thing to note here is that least Mr. Obama is consistent. This attempt to capture Snowden, like all of his other foreign-policy farces, was a failure.
