Ronda Rousey was…You’ve Already Clicked, Haven’t You?


Hah!  No sexy pictures of Ronda Rousey.  And no videos either!  Just a story about her.  Take that.

We’re not sexists, there’s more to Ronda that Sluts Sports Illustrated would have you believe.

Rousey appeared on Saturday Night Live on Jan. 23, an avenue for re-entry into the spotlight previously unavailable for mixed martial artists on quests for rediscovery. Because this is MMA, which is still a rambunctious nephew in the greater sports family, enthusiasts couldn’t help but note the historical significance (just like they couldn’t help noting it when Rousey went on Good Morning America to announce her fight with Holm to begin with). The kudos for what she was doing were coming faster than the punch lines being delivered.

Ronda is a media star, not just a swimsuit model.  Or a fighter.

It may have come two months late, but Rousey finally gave public congratulations to Holm…

And if it told us anything, it’s that Ronda is still Ronda. She’s not scared enough to stop trying.

She’s a real human being with feelings.
