From the Kelly File – Remember THIS? Chillingly prophetic words from then-President George W. Bush in 2007 on what might happen if U.S. troops were pulled out of Iraq too early. Do you think he was right? Watch and weigh in:
George W. Bush said pulling out early would mean surrendering the future of Iraq to Al Qaeda and risking mass killings on an horrific scale. George W. Bush said, it would allow the terrorists to establish a safe haven, increasing probability that American troops would have to return to confront an ememy that is even MORE dangerous. Point by point by point correct.
So guess who withdrew the troops before his commanders told him to? Obama. What happened? You guessed it – mass killings, executions, and beheadings of even American journalists. In addition, ISIS controls a huge area of Iraq and terrorism continues to grow.
In 2007, Harry Reid said the surge didn’t work. Hillary Clinton opposed it. G.W. Bush stated what the consequences would be. Who did Obama blame? You guessed it – G.W. Bush. Well, Obama it looks like if YOU hadn’t insisted we withdraw all of our troops early, America probably would not be in this predicament.
Let me end with a clip from “Full Metal Jacket” in the words of Gunnery Sergeant Hartman (R. Lee Ermey):
