But as he drove away he got tagged by an the A-10 Warthog.

Hate when that happens!

a 10hat tip: Stars & Stripes:

Twelve A-10 Thunderbolt II attack planes have been deployed to Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, to conduct strikes against Islamic State targets in Syria and Iraq, according to Pentagon and Air Force officials.

The A-10s will replace six F-16s deployed from Aviano Air Base, Italy, since early August to support operations against the Islamic State.

Air Force officials said the aircraft were primarily used to fly missions over Iraq but later confirmed A-10s flew over Syria.

Gen. Hawk Carlisle, Air Combat Command commander, told reporters in February that the A-10 had been involved in a “few dozen” missions in Syria but that its use was limited because the warplane is more vulnerable to fire from the ground than other aircraft such as the F-16. The slow, low-flying plane is designed to attack tanks, armored vehicles and other ground targets while conducting close-air support missions.

And sometimes, a Jihadist out for a joy-ride:

Like I said – hate when that happens..
