Rahm Emanuel, Chicago’s Mayor, has his panties in a bunch because living in some parts of Chicago is more dangerous than living in most of Syria.
It’s way past time Mr. Emanuel and his Progressive crowd were forced to face the truth. Chicago doesn’t need a “fresh and more proactive approach to gun control.”
It needs a fresh and more proactive approach to THUG CONTROL.
Maybe a little thing we call “Values.”
Four people were killed and 52 wounded during shootings across Chicago over the weekend. After multiple weekends in a row of increased violence in the city, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel is urging a fresh and more proactive approach to gun control. The latest incidents, including the murder of a pregnant mother, come on the heels of two weekends in a row with more than 50 shootings in Chicago.
“Chicago” doesn’t have a crime problem. The South Side of Chicago has a crime problem. Here are three of the people who were murdered over the weekend. The fourth has a lot in common with these three.
They all lived on the South Side, so did the fourth murder victim. The people who murdered them were their neighbors.
The problem in Chicago – and in Baltimore, Detroit, Washington DC, and every other major city in the US – is that in the parts of town where people scream the loudest about #BlackLivesMatter, black lives don’t matter. They are throwaways, not to the cops who risk their lives to follow up on these shootings, but to their black neighbors.
The problem Mr. Mayor isn’t guns. The problem is a complete lack of values.
Seventy five percent of black babies – 75% of the babies whose mothers don’t murder them at a Planned Parenthood clinic – are born out of wedlock and will likely never know their father.
One of the people murdered was a 24 year old woman who was pregnant with her third child. I’d bet my last dime this baby was not fathered by the father of either of the other two.
Values are non-existent on the South Side of Chicago. At least values that civilized people, without regard to skin color, would hold.
The problem is that the so-called “black community” isn’t a community at all, it’s a tribe. At this point, out black cities are not ripped apart by crime, they’re ripped apart by tribal warfare.
If the Mayor wants to make a difference, it won’t be by “taking guns off the street” it will be by taking tribal members off the street. Chicago’s problem isn’t that too many black thugs are locked up, it’s that not enough of them are. You won’t take “guns” off the street Mr. Mayor but you can take thugs off the street.
Commit a crime with a gun, add 15 years with no parole to whatever the sentence for the crime is. Put a thug away in a 6×9 cell for 23 hours every day for 25 or 30 years and when he gets out – if he gets out – you will have had 25+ years of peace in the city.
Mayor Emanuel, until “your people” start to care about themselves and their children nothing is going to change.
