The Second Amendment Wins!

The Second Amendment registered a big win last week and gun grabbers like Martin O’Malley, Hillary Clinton, and Michael Bloomberg took one on the chin .

CNN did a wide ranging poll, on political candidates and on issues as well, and the Second Amendment was on that poll.

Respondents were asked “In your view, do existing laws make it too easy for people to buy guns, too difficult, or are they about right?” Half of respondents (49%) thought laws were “about right.”

That may not sound real good to you, only half of Americans think existing laws are about right. Well, the poll results didn’t end there.

An additional ten percent think that current laws make the purchase of a gun “too difficult.” So, sixty percent of Americans see no reason for more “common sense gun regulations” that Democrats – virtually all of them – keep calling for.

“Expanded background checks” is the rally cry for Michael Bloomberg’s collection of gun grabbers. Those were addressed by CNN as well.

The same question was also asked as to whether further background checks would prevent convicted criminals from buying guns; and those polled were even more skeptical. This time, 58% thought that checks were not at all likely or only somewhat likely to restrict these sales.

If you come face-to-face with a gun-control nut, please politely ask them this: so you believe that expanded background checks will reduce gun violence? Please tell me which of the recent shootings, like Newtown for instance, would have been stopped by expanded background checks?

The answer is none.

People like Clinton, Bloomberg, and Democrats in general, don’t care about expanding background checks. What they want is more regulations that don’t work so they can say, “We’ve tried everything, it’s time to confiscate guns.”
