Al Sharpton Threatens Kid Rock!

Right, because this makes total sense. Like most of his senseless ramblings, Al Sharpton has idiotically demanded that Kid Rock either denounce the Confederate Flag, or the Michigan chapter of National Action Network will petition to have his name be removed from an art exhibit he funded at the Detroit Historical Museum.

Wait a second. He funded this, right? So it’s his money that allowed the museum to even be having this exhibit? So why are the liberals even nosing around with this? Oh yea, that’s right, Kid Rock is from Detroit originally, but his music is heavily influenced by such artists as Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, and Hank Williams (Sr. and Jr.) So naturally, Kid Rock would want some sort of tribute, or nod to the roots of the music he plays.

So he has a Confederate Flag featured at his shows.

No one KNOWS for sure if there are any flags recently displayed at a concert, but don’t worry, the liberals are going to go ahead and assume you are going too, Kid. According to Conservative Tribune, that’s not enough for NAN Michigan Chapter President Rev. Charles Williams II, who calls Kid Rock “the hometown hero who is a zero with the Confederate flag.”

Personally, I have tickets for the September 5th show at the White River Amphitheater with Foreigner, OK? So I will do some personal research on this.

It’s also asinine for anyone to assume that they would have the chutzpah to ask for someone to have their name taken off something they donated. That’s just not gonna happen. You think that a hospital that had Kid Rock donate a wing for cancer kids would be appropriate to remove? Yea, didn’t think so. This is just a lame publicity stunt by Sharpton, like most of his antics.

As far as I am concerned, this is still America, we still have freedom of speech, and this whole thing has escalated far too quickly and out of control. It is ridiculous to turn a nation upside down over a flag that represents how we were formed as a country. It represents pride for those in the South who lost a family member who fought for that flag. Why don’t we focus on some issues that actually matter instead of a flag? Our time would be much better spent.
