Why We Should Have Guns Anywhere in America : Vince Vaughn Edition

Vince Vaughn has risen in my eyes as more than just a cheap Hollywood actor. He stands for so much more, and truly believes in using the power that he holds as an actor to educate and inform America about the rights they have. He is especially keen on reaching young people, our most valuable resource, because they too, will vote for the future of America.

Vince’s latest cause is guns and schools – and why we need them. This, of course, is grossly unpopular with the left, because, GUNS you guys! The reasoning is not grossly illogical, he thinks that we need them for protection. I mean, our President’s children walk around all day with armed security, so what harm would it really cause for teachers or security staff to get a Concealed Carry Permit (which requires an extensive background check & clearance) to protect our kids? They are basically entrusted with our kids for 8+ hours a day. Why wouldn’t we want them to have as much protection as possible?

Even parents are banned from carrying their weapons into schools, which is another sore spot for Vaughn. In an article from Politico, quoting from GQ, he states,”Banning guns is like banning forks in an attempt to stop making people fat. Taking away guns, taking away drugs, the booze, it won’t rid the world of criminality,” Personally, I remember a time my dad came to a school event straight from work, forgetting he had his weapon holstered under his suit coat. My dad was an everyday carrier, and guns were no big deal at our house. Another parent noticed his gun, and every kind of chaos imaginable ensued. It was an absolute nightmare. My father, a Concealed Carrier for many years, was escorted out of the building by no less than 15 uniformed police officers. He was put in the back of a squad car, his weapon confiscated, and taken to the station for ‘questioning’. Ridiculous.

Another point of Vaughn’s is that criminals KNOW this. Maniac gunmen KNOW this. Schools are ‘gun-free’ zones. SO why not get the low hanging fruit? Why not hit those easy targets? Makes good sense if you are a deranged person that wants to terrorize folks. Vince says “I support people having a gun in public full stop, not just in your home. We don’t have the right to bear arms because of burglars; we have the right to bear arms to resist the supreme power of a corrupt and abusive government. It’s not about duck hunting; it’s about the ability of the individual. It’s the same reason we have freedom of speech. It’s well known that the greatest defense against an intruder is the sound of a gun hammer being pulled back,”

Vince is right. These folks that cause mass shootings? Guess where those are? That’s right, ladies and gents, ‘gun-free’ zones. This is precisely why when ever I see a sign on a restaurant that says they are a gun free zone, I turn right around and walk away. I love my kids, my life and my boyfriend FAR to much to die in a Buffalo Wild Wings, just sayin’.

We deserve MORE as an American people than this leftist idea that guns are somehow bad news. Our forefathers gave us the right to keep and bear arms in the 2nd Amendment. Why should we give that away? What’s nest, free speech? The government will gladly take that, if we let them. Stand up. Speak out. Fight back. WE ARE AMERICANS.
