A Michigan couple has hit lucky number 13 for sons. The couple’s large brood of boys is impressive, but little 13 still doesn’t have a name. After 12 other boys, I can safely say that I would be fairly challenged, too:
A Michigan man whose 13th son was just born says he’s convinced that “medically, it’s just not possible” for him and his wife to produce a daughter.
He also says it’s proving a challenge to agree on a name for their newborn.
Forty-year-old Jay Schwandt tells The Grand Rapids Press (http://bit.ly/1IDEnMC ) the boy born Wednesday is the second he and his wife, Kateri, have had who arrived with a full head of hair.
The baby and his 40-year-old mother are doing well at Mercy Health Saint Mary’s Hospital in Grand Rapids. He’s 22 inches and weighs 8 pounds, 9 ounces.
The father determines a child’s sex. Research shows some men may be genetically prone to having more sons or daughters.
Well, I guess they can always keep trying for a little pink bundle. After 13 kids, why not, right? Although she may not want to wear or use her brothers hand me downs. Good luck on finding a name for 13, and wishing you a baby girl in the future!
