The press are supposed to be the Clinton’s best friends, but it’s not working out that way for Hillary, at least not right now.
Someone close to the Clinton’s noted that Hillary’s campaign would be a “scandal a day.” We’re not sure about the scandal every day, but were certainly see stories every day that highlight not Hillary’s positions on issues but her pettiness.
Since the beginning of the email scandal, and probably before that, Hillary has refused to talk to the press unless it’s a highly controlled situation. She’s on the campaign trail now and those pesky reporters just show up at her events and shout questions to her. They don’t seem to have any respect for “who she is.”
Last week Hillary was in Concord, New Hampshire, which is a pretty solid Democratic stronghold. She probably assumed the press would be overwhelmed by her presence. Here’s what happened as she left the venue.
The reporters shouted out to Hillary, actually they shouted out to Hillary’s back, questions that she didn’t want to deal with. Specifically questions about foreign donations to the Clinton “Foundation.” Hillary did what Hillary does. She huffed out the back door.
Try as she might Hillary is not “a candidate of the people.” She can’t hide it no matter how hard she, her staff, and her many friends in the news media will try to help her.
