Sick and Wrong: Veteran’s Prosthetic Eye Stolen from Car

One veteran found out the hard way that people will steal almost anything. The victim of a heartless theft, the veteran had his car broken into, and the most unlikely thing of all that could have been taken was.

His prosthetic eye was taken. Of all the sick and wrong things for someone to take. More details:

Police say a veteran’s prosthetic eye has been stolen from his car in New York.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s office says the eye was stolen Saturday in the village of Boonville in the central part of the state.

They say the eye was in a small black bag inside the car. The vehicle was parked in a supermarket plaza lot.

Police say the prosthetic eye is worth more than $2,000.

Sheriff’s deputies are asking anyone with information to come forward.

What kind of person breaks into a car, and steals a prosthetic eye? I guess if you are a thief, you don’t care too much whether or not what you steal is a medical device. To steal from a veteran, who is parked getting groceries, just make this even more disgusting. People in this country have not only become morally bankrupt, they are now in a deficit. If you, or anyone you know has any info regarding the eye- please contact law enforcement immediately.
