Does it ever stop? David Olio, an English teacher at South Windsor High School in Connecticut, required his students to read out-loud, an EXTREMELY sexually graphic homosexual poem in his classroom last week. He was suspended on Monday and an investigation is pending.
As reported at NBC Connecticut, the letter written by Asst. Supt. Colin McNamara stated, “As we discussed at our meeting, you have been placed on paid administrative leave while we investigate the concerns that have been brought to our attention.”
South Windsor Superintendent Kate Carter, condemned the poem as “highly inappropriate” in a statement.
“We take seriously the trust that parents place in teachers and administrators, and we do not tolerate the use of inappropriate materials in classroom settings.”
A parent told WFSB.“I couldn’t read the whole poem it was so inappropriate.
The first few lines, but after I got into a few lines, I couldn’t believe what I was reading,”
The poem, “Please Master”, was written by self described Communist Allen Ginsburg in 1968.
The poet is well known for his sexually charged work as well being a supporter and member of NAMBLA, the North American Man/Boy Love Association, an organization that supports pedophilia as normal.
The poem is so horrifically explicit, I will not print it here. You can look for yourself HERE. Be warned, it is EXTREMELY graphic.
I see the three strikes analogy played out here.
#1. Making students read aloud in class such inappropriate graphic material is in itself fully unacceptable, a breach of parental sovereignty, and full reason to be fired.
#2. This is a clear case of indoctrination of his personal lack of moral values on other peoples children.
#3. David Olio does not have that mechanism in his head that says to himself, “This might not be a good idea.”, and should not be in a position of teaching other peoples children.
Who does this teacher think he is to leave the simple job of teaching English and jump into the fray of teaching his lack of morals to someone elses children?
Call to action folks. If we want these horrific situations to stop, the only way to do so is with firm action.
The parents need to show up en masse at the next school board meeting and demand his termination, making it clear that incidents like this will not be tolerated in the future.
The phones at the school and district office need to ring off the hook for the next few days.
The email accounts need to be inundated. Both with messages of disgust and demands of termination.
Call and voice your disgust and express the severe need for termination of David Olio:
