Stop me if you’ve heard this one beforeit’s mind boggling: First Hillary Clinton sets up a private email server in her basement for her government email, because it’s more convenient.
Today we find out that the entire State Department, that would be EVERY State Department employee can use the private email of their choice.
The “state.gov” email addresses, which are the official State Department email addresses, are archived so that they can be accessed for Freedom Of Information Act searches. Today we discover that State Department employees can choose to send an email through their official email address or through a private email address like Gmail.
The “honor system” should never, ever, be used for government employees. The reason is simple. As both Clintons, but especially Hillary, have demonstrated over and over again government employees have no honor. And before the Left gets their panties in a wad, we apply that standard to Republican government employees too.
The fact that government employees are on the “honor system” in the “most transparent administration in history” should come as no surprise. This administration more than any other – with the possible exception of Bill Clinton’s administration – has been very successful at hiding anything they want to hide from Congress and the public.
First it was the IRS, now it’s the State Department, the White House is in the same boat. We like to see the Congress pass a law that requires all government business to be done via government email accounts that are archived. We’d also like to see the penalty for breaking the law to be a felony with mandatory prison time and a lifetime bar from government employment.
If you’re being paid by the taxpayers the taxpayers have a right to access your email. We are not holding our breath.
