Obama’s Summit on Combating Terrorism Focused on Proving There’s No Islamic Terrorism

One of Obama’s henchman spills more putrid propaganda supporting Muslims without mentioning who’s shooting, hanging, beheading, burning alive, raping all those Christians, gays, infidels and Jews? I’m shocked!

They just need good jobs and they’ll stop, right Marie Harf, Jen Psaki-aka, Obama, Kerry and the rest of the brain-dead clueless media?

While ISIS continues to gain ground in the Middle East, the White House continues to host the ridiculous ‘Summit on Countering Violent Extremism.’ What’s wrong with the administration having what sounds like a Summit on combating terrorism and bringing together those that fight terrorists throughout the World? Nothing.

Except that this summit has veered so far off course that it no longer is focusing on combating terrorists and extremism inspired violence, but that it now is focused on proving that we are not being victimized by Islam extremists.

While many in Islam may in fact be peaceful people and may not promote violence or terrorism, a summit focused on reminding us that most followers of Mohammed are not terrorists is not the same as combatting terrorism. The White House seems to continue pretending that we are not being victimized by those motivated by Islamic extremists but instead by terrorists who, well, just ‘happen’ to be followers of Islam. While that may be true, why must we have a summit to prove it?

Think that I’m wrong? If you doubt me, look at the video taken by CSPAN at this week’s conference where Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson says:

“We in the administration and the government should give voice to the plight of Muslims living in this country and the discrimination that they face. And so I personally have committed to speak out about the situation that very often people in the Muslim community in this country face. The fact that there are 1.6 billion Muslims in the world and the Islamic faith is one about peace and brotherhood.”

Would someone please remind Mr. Johnson that it is NOT, “the Muslim community in this country…” that is committing acts of terrorism abroad? And, how is recognition of the ‘plight of Muslims living in this country’ even remotely related to combatting terrorism? See the video for yourself: HERE.

Perhaps it takes a Texan to say it best:

“Sadly, this was a summit without substance,” said Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee. “Americans understand we are not at war with Islam. But, we will not defeat these fanatics if we refuse to define them for what they are — violent Islamist extremists.”

What a week for this administration? Monday the president finished his third round of golf in Palm Springs while the rest of the world was just learning of more violent acts committed by ISIS. Then, we were told by Marie Harf, a State Department spokesperson, that in order to fight terrorism we must understand the root causes of violence. She seemed to imply that if these extremists had ‘’jobs’’ that their anger and desire to behead Christians would seemingly just dissolve. Well, if that is the case, I think WalMart is hiring…

Sorry, Mrs. Harf, I just don’t think that I am willing to change the focus from defending our homeland and the safety of our fellow American citizens abroad to a conversation about how we can economically placate those factions around the world that want to obliterate us. I reject the idea that these barbaric animals would stop climbing the ladder of the world’s terrorist organizations in order to then work their way through the 9-5 world kissing the feet of their supervisors to take home a paycheck. And, I don’t think I’m going out on a limb here, but I don’t think many of my fellow Americans disagree with me.

Who amongst us thinks that we can ‘pay now’ by fighting them abroad or ‘pay later’ by fighting them here after they have become stronger? All indications point to an administration that is ineptly handling this crisis… As we visit our houses of worship this weekend to celebrate the first Sunday of Lent, please pray that this administration will find the answers. Then, join me, in fearing what will happen if they don’t.
