Video Shows Man Shot by NJ Police With Hands Up
Dash-cam video shows a man shot by New Jersey police as he was stepping out of the car, raising his hands. The video of the Dec. 30 killing of Jerame Reid in Bridgeton was released this week.
Jerame Reid was a passenger in the car which was pulled over by two officers in Bridgeton, New Jersey, on December 30 for going through a stop sign.
The stop quickly escalated however after one of the officers warns his partner about seeing a gun in the glove compartment of the Jaguar.
Officer Braheme Days can be heard to shout at Mr Reid “Show me your hands” and “If you reach for something, you’re going to be f***ing dead.”
In the footage, taken from the police dashcam, the officer, who is black, also appears to reach into the car and remove what appears to be a handgun.
