Freedom Summit 2016 – Rick Perry

Freedom Summit 2016 was held this month in Iowa.  It’s viewed as the start of 2016 Republican primary.  Sigh.

It’s way to early to talk about “supporting” a candidate unless you’ve got a couple of hundred million dollars to throw around, and in that case you’ve probably already been wined and dined by the Bushes, Mitt Romney, and half a dozen other “big names.”  For the rest of us though, it looks like we’re going to have to start sorting people out.  Or at least beginning to comment on them.

First we showcased Sarah Palin.  Yesterday, it was Ted Cruz, and today it’s his fellow Texan, former Governor Rick Perry.

As we said yesterday, the most interesting dynamic right now is the showdown between the Senator from Texas and the former Governor from Texas.  It could be fun to watch.

Perry appears to be a lot more prepared than last time out, and he’s not the Governor anymore so he’s got time to do what he thinks he needs to do to win.
