Whenever you take your bicycle out for a leisurely ride–or for exercise if you’re one of those healthy people–it’s critical to make sure you keep your head up and your eyes on the road, because you simply never know what might jump out at you.
That’s where one cyclist completely failed, as he neglected to keep watch on the road in front of him and had a pretty devastating close encounter with a deer.
And yes, the whole thing was caught on video.
The man was cruising along when a deer leaped right in the middle of his path. The insane collision was caught on his Fly6 helmet camera.
Luckily, the man made it out of the crash with only a concussion and temporary/slight memory loss, according to his video description.
Ouch! I bet that left a mark.
While the cyclist pulled through the crash, there’s no word on whether or not the deer ended up as roadkill, or if by some miracle, managed to live another day.
The moral of the story kids, is when you’re out and about, keep an eye out for nature, or nature might just poke your eye out with a huge, pointy antler.
Or something like that.
