Black Friday at Walmart: Workers Strike for Higher Wages

A large number of Walmart employees are marching with picket signs on Black Friday. I keep wondering if the employees who are protesting low wages are the ones who perform poorly, and their pay increases reflect that.

Without knowing Walmart’s performance evaluation policies and procedures, I would only be guessing. But it certainly wouldn’t surprise me if the lower paid workers are the slackers.

Personally, I know two Walmart employees who have been rewarded well for their work, receiving raises and promotions over the course of their employment.

Do you think Walmart employees have a legitimate gripe?
