Thanks Rock Painting Guy!

In 2009 I received an email with these photos and the following message…

There is a huge rock near a gravel pit on Hwy.25 in rural Iowa .

For generations, kids have painted slogans, names, and obscenities
on this rock, changing its character many times.

A few months back, the rock received its latest paint job, and since then it has been left completely undisturbed.

It’s quite an impressive sight.

Thanks Rock Painting Guy!

I shared these photos on Facebook back in 09 and ran across them today while looking for something else…

In the comments, a friend asked if I knew exactly where this was in rural Iowa?  I do not, do any of you? Let me know in the comments…

I also thought it was interesting when reading the message that the rock had remained untouched. So I wondered if that is still the case after 5 years? I doubt it, but that would be a great story.

I hope you enjoyed the photos and that maybe one of our readers can help fill in the blanks.

Before hitting the publish button I decided to do a google image search of the photos because I didn’t want to deal with the outrage if the answers where easily found on the internet… Thank God I did!

So, again, Thanks rock painting guy!
