Nixon Set Standard for Non-Apology by WH Officials

0

President Richard Nixon’s name is synonymous with “cheater” and “scandal”–probably because his administration made the most noise politically when Watergate broke, and **it hit the fan.

And it was mostly downhill since then, with the exception of the Reagan years. But, boy, has the Obama Administration picked up the Nixon evade-the-issue-and-cover-the-evidence syndrome to a new level.

Nixon2As a Flashback Friday treat, the following video shows Nixon oral bobbing and weaving, perfecting the non-apology. It’s kind of a How-To video for Obama, Pelosi, Lerner, and . . . well, there are just too many to name.

Oh, but wait, Hillary Clinton deserves to be mentioned here among other truth dodgers, because she has surpassed Nixon in the art of the non-apology, and diversion.

Of Clinton, one journalist said of the Benghazi tragedy, “This is going to be the biggest scandal. It is going to make Watergate look like kindergarten… It is a dereliction of duty that this nation has never seen before.”
