Imelda Marcos and The Prehistoric Bird

Who knew a prehistoric bird would have anything in common with former First Lady of the Philippines, Imelda Marcos?

It’s true.

But first, a video of an actual Shoebill–related to pelicans and herons, and  . . . pterodactyls . You’ll think you’re looking at an animal from Jurassic Park.

NOW . . . What’s this prehistoric bird got in common with Imelda Marcos? Imelda had a big shoe bill, too! Over 3,000 pair, thanks to swooping in and preying on the  Philippine Treasury!

Not nearly as exotic as a feathered Shoebill.
