Eric Cantor, the number two Republican in the House (and feel free to make of that title as you will) is a hardcore proponent of amnesty and is a bald faced liar on at least that subject. He’s been desperately trying to find a way to get an amnesty bill through the House this summer. We expect the push to begin toward the end of the month when most primaries are behind the Republican supporters of amnesty for aliens.
Here’s what Eric the Red had to say recently after lying to CBS6 anchor Bill Fitzgerald about his support for amnesty, the rationale being that he wouldn’t vote for the current Senate amnesty bill.
He then pivoted by saying if Obama, who enacted the Deferred Action program that has given some illegal immigrant children temporary amnesty and has threatened to unilaterally ease deportations, could demonstrate trustworthiness on immigration, he could work with him on granting amnesty to illegal immigrant children.
“But I have told the President there are some things that we can work on together,” Cantor said. “We can work on the border security bill together. We can work on things like the Kids.”
Cantor was referring to what has commonly been referred to as his “Kids Act,” which, as Breitbart News reported, would grant amnesty to illegal immigrants who were brought to America through “no fault of their own”–like many of the illegal immigrant children who have been pouring into the country in recent weeks.
For some background, Obama and the Democrats are pushing for amnesty – and citizenship – for kids who were brought to the US by their illegal immigrant parents. The whole point of that amnesty, from the perspective of both illegals and Democrats, is that once the kids are American citizens their parents will be given expedited status to citizenship because of the “chain” feature of our immigration laws. Those who advocate for illegals and amnesty hold that this is necessary because otherwise we’ll be “breaking up families.”
What they refuse to consider is that illegals are typically breaking a multitude of US laws. If they are receiving any form of assistance, and progressives who occupy virtually every bureaucratic job in the US social services system are finding ways to get them enrolled in everything from food stamps to Medicaid, are breaking the law. It is against the law to cross the border illegally. If they are working, they’ve stolen a social security number. Etc., etc., etc.
We’re opposed to breaking up families. We are advocates of removing the whole family whose parents are here illegally back to their country of origin. If they want their kids to stay because they were born here, put them in foster care or up for adoption and bar the parents from reentry.
The Obama administration is ratcheting up the game over the past month. Unaccompanied kids are flooding into Texas and Arizona from Canada Poland North Africa France Mexico. Note, they are not accompanied by their loving parents. They show up with no money and no food. The President is trying to carve out $1 billion to “help” them. In the meantime, Homeland Security is putting the Texas kids on buses and shipping them to the bus depot in either Phoenix or Tucson. No money, no food, no clothes, no adult chaperones.
Here in Arizona we’re trying to figure out what to do with them. At Curmudgeon Central, we’ve suggested that they be given a sandwich, two bottles of water, and put back on a bus headed for Mexico. Let the Mexican authorities figure out who they are and what to do with them. And no, we have not gram of empathy or sympathy. If these “kids” get amnesty, their free-loading, leech, parents will be on the next bus from Mexico.
If you’re wondering what could be causing this flood of kids, look no further than the White House.
Breitbart Texas first reported that illegal immigrants were overwhelming the system and being warehoused in Texas, forcing the Obama administration to send them to neighboring states. In remarks to Breitbart Texas on Friday, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said Obama’s lawlessness has exacerbated the problem, which is consistent with what immigration officials told the Los Angeles Times months ago. Immigration agents told the Times that “changes in U.S. policy to expand legal residence opportunities in the U.S. for undocumented youth,” also account for the “rapid surge” of illegal immigrant children crossing the southern border.
Cantor, in language that was adopted in the House GOP’s immigration principles, has said that “one of the great founding principles of our country was that children would not be punished for the mistakes of their parents.”
The one thing that nobody is talking about is who orchestrated this flood? If you think that a couple Mexican families got together and thought this scheme up, you’re downright stupid. We’re sure, though we’ll be the first to admit that it’s not provable, that the Obama administration and their cozy friends at places like LaRaza put this together. The reason? To pressure spineless wimps like Eric Cantor to push an amnesty bill to the floor of the House.
Cantor is willing to work with Obama on “border security.” Let’s be clear, this administration will not move on securing the border. The only concept of a ‘secure border” that people like Barack Obama, Democrats in general, and fools like Eric Cantor believe in is making sure US authorities can’t get illegal Mexicans back to Mexico.
