Bonnie M. Youn, a – now former – “Champion of Change” who until last week was listed on the White House website as “a recognized Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) community leader in Georgia,” a diligent worker for illegal immigration, was indicted on three felony counts. The White House quickly scrubbed her from the website.
Youn, like a laundry list of prominent Democrats lately, got caught with her lei down.
The first indictment count alleges Youn committed perjury with regard to an alien illegally in the United States. The second indictment count alleges that Youn violated a federal immigration law that prohibits bringing illegal aliens into the United States and harboring them, alleging she did so “for the purpose of commercial advantage and private financial gain.” The third indictment count alleges Youn illegally tampered with witness testimony, specifically alleging she influenced the illegal alien—whose identity is kept anonymous in the indictment—to provide false information about employment in the United States to federal agents.
The indictment, signed by U.S. Attorney Sally Quillian Yates and two Assistant U.S. Attorneys, indicates that Youn’s alleged illegal activity began “on or about February 9, 2009,” just as President Obama took office at the beginning of his first term and before she was honored by the White House. The third indictment count says that the alleged witness tampering began on or about August 15, 2011.
An arrest warrant was filed for Youn Tuesday.
Youn didn’t waste any time. The President and Michelle were still in the planning stages on their first vacation and Youn was on the job.
In other news, Democrats in Pennsylvania got caught with their hands in the till.
Four state lawmakers took money, the sources said. State Rep. Ronald G. Waters accepted multiple payments totaling $7,650; State Rep. Vanessa Brown took $4,000; State Rep. Michelle Brownlee received $3,500; and State Rep. Louise Bishop took $1,500, said people with knowledge of the investigation.
It looks like their collective butts will be saved from the prison cells they deserve by the Pennsylvania Attorney General, Kathleen Kane. Kane, a Democrat, decided that the investigation was poorly conceived and shut it down. Most likely because it only caught black Democrats. Who, incidentally, will all be reelected by huge margins in November. It IS Philadelphia after all.
Then there was California State Senator Leland Yee, a candidate for Secretary of State and staunch gun control advocate who was just indicted for conspiring to sell automatic weapons, shoulder fired missiles, and assorted weapons for millions of dollars in campaign donations.
Two other California Democrats have also been indicted, they’re lower profile and they were just selling themselves to highest bidder, no arms trafficking involved.
We’re just scratching the surface of Democratic corruption, but hey, this report just covers the last month or so.
Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Please note that in all these cases, and in hundreds of jurisdictions around the country Democrats hold absolute power. Barack Obama garnered more votes in Philadelphia than there are registered voters. In the legislative elections in question, none of the crooked officeholders has a primary challenger and a Republican likely wouldn’t get his or her own vote in the General Election.
And then there’s California. Democrats hold every statewide elective office and hold super majorities in both the state Senate and the Assembly.
Corrupt Democrats, but I repeat myself, can operate with impunity because they know that even if caught, they won’t see much in the way of adverse reporting – it took CNN one week to report Yee’s arrest and you’d need help to find his party affiliation in the story. The New York Times had an article on the front page above the fold on page 21, with no mention of gun running.
When Yee gets out of prison we wouldn’t be in the least surprised to see him back in the California state Senate. After all he is a minority and he is from Nancy Pelosi territory.
